Breweries, Distilleries & Wineries in the Delaware Valley

Local Focus

Returning to the Delaware Valley after summer vacation gives us an opportunity to explore our local communities. Who needs Napa Valley when we have quite a collection of wineries, breweries, and distilleries right here. For outings with a kid-friendly theme, visit a play center, sports center, or one of the many businesses in our area that have cornered the market on family fun. Always a great diversion - high school sports are in full swing; find out scores, schedules and more. Walk back in time and spend an afternoon visiting our covered bridges. Also, don't forget that the festival season is beginning in earnest - check out our extensive list. Finally, we have created a page of useful information about the Papal visit. Enjoy!

FESTIVALS
Carnivals and Festivals

September is the unofficial start to the festival season in the Delaware Valley. Our festival list is jam-packed with family fun events, including apple festivals, pumpkin festivals, community fun days, bike races, and much more!

BREWERIES
Carnivals and Festivals

If you are a fan of craft beers, you will be happy with the selection of microbreweries that are located in southeastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey. A microbrewery is a limited-production brewery, typically producing specialty beers and often selling its products only locally. Expand your beer palate and support our local brew masters! Our page contains an interactive map so you can plan your brewery tours.

DISTILLERIES
Distilleries

Craft distilling is booming in the Philadelphia area! Before Prohibition, Pennsylvania had the country’s densest cluster of homespun and commercial whiskey producers. Since regulatory reforms in 2011 allowing distillers to offer tours, samples and sales on-site, the number of craft distilleries has increased tremendously. Check out our local distilleries and sample their whiskeys, rums, bourbons, vodkas, gin, & moonshine. Plan your tour with our interactive map.

WINERIES
Wineries and vineyards

With moderate climate, gentle hills, and well-drained soil, our region is one of the premier grape growing areas in the Northeast. Check our wineries page and use our interactive wineries map to plan your custom wineries tour!

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
High School Sports

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS FANS! With high school sports in full swing (pun intended), we have set up a page for you to check scores (real time updates during the game), schedules and more. You may only be able to go to one football game on Friday night, but you can follow multiple teams anytime. Not just football - all sports, both boys and girls.

FUN FOR KIDS
Kid Fun

If the little ones need to let off some steam, take them to a sports center, play center, or check out the local businesses that provide kid friendly entertainment. Hope you all have bunches of fun!

COVERED BRIDGES
Covered Bridges

Covered bridges evoke a simpler, kinder time in America - friendly small towns, wooded country roads, trickling streams, flowing rivers, and families unpacking a picnic basket at a table in the shade of the covered bridge. Fall is the perfect time to explore our covered bridges. We have a complete list and an interactive map to help you plan the way.

POPE FRANCIS IN PHILADELPHIA
The Butterfly Website

Our region is gearing up for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia in September - his first papal visit to the United States! Millions of visitors from over 150 countries are expected to visit our region. The two most popular events will be the Festival of Families on Saturday evening, September 26th and the mass on Sunday afternoon, September 27th, both on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Our Papal Visit page has information about accomodations, transportation, and other tidbits and useful facts.
