The Homes of Hope Nepal project will be hosting a Nepal Cultural Night Fundraiser at Flemington DIY [90 Main Street, Flemington] on July 18 from 5-9. The evening will feature traditional Nepali dishes provided by Blue Diamond Buffet in Flemington, as well as traditional music, dance, and art. The event is free to attend, and food is all you can eat for $10. All the proceeds will go to the Homes of Hope Nepal project.
After the April 25 earthquake, the Homes of Hope Nepal project began with the help of the Friends of Nepal – New Jersey, the Lions Club of New Jersey, and the Rotary Club of Branchburg. The goal of the campaign is to build 1,000 homes for and provide $50,000 in micro-credit loans to the people of Nepal. Along with these homes, the project aims to construct community centers and schools in Nepal. They will be working in partnership with a number of organizations in Nepal and America, to bring hope for a better future to some of the world’s poorest people.
